Welcome to India DER Registry

This is a Registry of all Distributed Energy Resources (DER) connected to the Grid.

India’s Distributed Energy Resources (DER) register is a database of information about DER devices installed across India which includes Solar, Wind, Battery Energy Storage System, EV Charging Infrastructure, AC Plants, Heat pumps or any other. The DER Register stores information about a DER device installed on-site at a residential or business location feeder – wise, distribution transformer – wise, substation – wise and Discom – wise. The architecture of the DER Register is highly scalable and can interact/integrate with other registers and databases. It serves as a centralized hub for managing and integrating DERs into the broader energy grid, ensuring efficient registration, monitoring, and utilization of these resources. As the share of DERs increases on the grid, there should be appropriate mechanisms to monitor and control them to ensure grid stability. The DER Register will help Discoms and Grid Operators to understand the exact location where they are connected on the grid; and help in forecasting, scheduling and dispatching of generation from DER. The Register also provides information on other flexible resources that can be leveraged to increase the flexibility of the grid. This register have logins for different stakeholders in the grid management system and renewable energy sector generating different reports ensuring they are aware of developments and can contribute their insights. DER register will also set the channels for feedback and engagement, allowing stakeholders to voice concerns, offer suggestions, and feel a sense of ownership over the register.
